Welcome to AdoubleJ Entertainment! We are committed to bringing you the very best in entertainment, whether in a theater, in your home, your computer, your ipod, phone, or beamed directly into your brain. Okay so were not beaming directly into your brain...yet.
No amount of money or special effects can hide a lack of clarity and resolution. Once we have a great story, the majority of the filmmaking process comes down to protecting the heart of that story.
AdoubleJ strives to produce stories that engage, as well as entertain our audience. We evaluate all projects based on five criteria: originality, innovation, ideology, quality, & feasibility. If a project doesn't measure up in all five of these criteria, we won't produce it.
A man's name, like his word, is a measure of his worth. It means something. When AJ lent his nickname "AdoubleJ," to his company it was an indication of his commitment to quality and integrity.
A.J. founded AdoubleJ Entertainment (AJJ Entertainment LLC) in 2008 while in Graduate School. Soon after the company's founding, A.J. got his first break when he was asked to produce and direct a national commercial spot for Mycocide. The spot played nationally on CNN and a number of nationally syndicated shows.
During the rest of his time at Chapman, A.J. worked on more than a dozen short films (producing, directing, production designing, etc) and interned at Fierce Entertainment in the International Sales office.
After completing his MFA at the Dodge College of Film and Media Arts as well as an MBA at the Argyros School of Business & Economics, at Chapman University, A.J. continued to produce and direct industrial's, commercial content, and behind the scenes for multi-million dollar features.
Additionally, he has worked in a variety of departments on red carpets and live television events, including the 87th, 88th, 89th, 90th, and 91st Academy Awards (red carpet & SciTech), 2014, 2015, & 2016 Billboard Music Awards, 2014, 2015, &2016 BET Awards, 2015 & 2016 NFL Draft (red carpet), Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber, and the 2014 & 2015 Nissan Heisman House to name just a few.
Angie has worked in story development for over 7 years. Classically trained in drama and story, she spent the majority of her academic career studying Shakespear and the classics. Far from a purist, she actually fell in love with story as a child while reading the Harry Potter series. It was that series that she credits as the impetus for her love of the written word.
Today Angie works with us in crafting story that is both engaging and accessible to the broadest possible audience.
